Company Profile: Vos is Canada’s largest re-manufacturer of refrigerated display cases. Its clients included major
Canadian grocery chains such as No Frills, Loblaws, Price Chopper and Sobeys. The company is also a distributor of new display
cases, grocery shelving fixtures and misting systems.
NewPoint’s Role: NewPoint was retained as advisor by the minority shareholder, the President of the business, to assist with
the buyout of the outside, majority shareholder.
Transaction Snapshot: NewPoint led the client through a process that led to the eventual sale of the business to a strategic U.S.
buyer. NewPoint maximized value by separating the underlying real estate from the sale. The real estate was subsequently sold and leased-back
generating further value.
