NewPoint’s Role: NewPoint was retained as an exclusive financial advisor by Itech to sell the company. NewPoint worked
previously with the company raising growth financing and advising the company’s board and shareholders on various strategic alternatives.
NewPoint managed the auction process, generated significant credible interest from the limited numbers of strategic parties approached,
and negotiated the transaction.
Transaction Snapshot: NewPoint completed the sale to Mission Hockey, a strategic US purchaser. The purchaser benefited by
combining its strength in skates, sticks, gloves and pants with Itech’s 20 years of experience and leadership position in the complimentary
product categories. The sale proceeds exceeded the expectations of the company’s founder and its institutional financial partner, Ontario Teachers
Pension Plan.
