Client Profile: PostLinx is a leading independent critical communications business offering the following services: database
development and programming; laser imaging; mail processing and fulfilment.
NewPoint’s Role: NewPoint was engaged as exclusive financial advisor in: (i) the negotiation of the acquisition of the
Ontario business of an Alberta-based competitor that almost doubled Postlinx’s size; and, (ii) the divestiture of this larger PostLinx
business to a strategic buyer.
Transaction Snapshot: NewPoint negotiated an acquisition of the Ontario business and a sale of the merged business to
Pitney Bowes of Canada. Pitney Bowes purchased the business as a platform to create, through further acquisitions in a highly fragmented market,
a much larger full-service customer relationship management solutions business. This acquisition was the first in this sector for Pitney Bowes and
offered it an immediate market presence in this area.
